Travelling by public transport
Train between Belgium and France
When booking a trip to or from Brussels, you can select journeys that are partly operated by an international high-speed train (TGV). The train ride will automatically be added to your booking.
You can pick up your TGV train ticket at the airport or railway station. Are you travelling with a child younger than 2 years old who has their own booked seat? Don’t forget to pick up their train ticket as well.
Your carriage number and reserved seat number are on your train ticket. At the train station, you'll find the carriage number next to the entrance of the train carriage or on the platform signs. You may be subject to stricter security checks imposed by the Belgian government, so we advise you to go to the platform well in time.
When departing from Brussels-Zuid/Midi railway station, you can pick up your TGV train ticket at Air France KLM Air&Rail Terminal at the railway station. The Air&Rail Terminal is just a 2-minute walk from the "Rue de France/Frankrijkstraat" entrance. Make sure to pick up your ticket between 90 and 30 minutes before your train is scheduled to depart.
You’ve got 2 options to drop off your baggage:
- During check-in at railway station Brussels-Zuid/Midi. We’ll take care of the rest; you only have to pick up your baggage at the belt after your flight to your final destination.
- At the airport Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
Extra baggage service
You can choose to drop off your baggage 1 day before departure at railway station Brussels-Zuid/Midi, between 08:00 and 15:00 . If you can show everyone’s travel documents, you can do this for all passengers in your group. This way, on the day of departure, you only have to pick up your boarding pass at the Air France KLM Air&Rail Terminal at the railway station.
Unfortunately, this service is not possible if you:
- Have a connecting flight at airport Paris-Orly
- Have a connecting flight that is operated by Delta Air Lines
- Stay in Paris longer than 24 hours
- Travel to Tel Aviv
When departing from Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, you can pick up your TGV train ticket at the Air France service desk at the Paris-Charles de Gaulle railway station.
Make sure to pick up your ticket between 60 and 20 minutes before your train is scheduled to depart if you’d like to drop off your baggage. When you arrive at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, pick up your baggage at the baggage belt. Next, drop it off at the Air France service desk at the Paris-Charles de Gaulle railway station. When you’ve arrived at railway station Brussels-Zuid/Midi, pick up your baggage at the baggage carriage in front of the train.
If you want to keep your baggage with you while in the train, you can pick up the ticket at any time during the opening hours of the Air France service desk (from 06:15 until 21:30).
Bus between Ottawa and Montreal
If you have booked a KLM flight and part of your journey will be from Ottawa Railway Station (XDS) to Montreal (YUL) or the other way around, you’ll travel this part by KLM bus. You can board the bus by showing your flight ticket and ID. This part of your trip by bus cannot be booked separately.
Depending on which direction you’re travelling in, this is where you can board the KLM bus and where the bus will drop you off:
- When departing from Ottawa Railway Station, you’ll board the bus at 200 Tremblay Road, next to highway 417. You arrive at Montreal airport in front of the KLM desks at Departure level.
- When departing from Montreal airport, you’ll board the bus in front of the customs hall, post 7, at the Arrival level. You arrive at Ottawa Railway Station at 200 Tremblay Road, next to highway 417.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to take this bus if you are:
- Travelling with a wheelchair
- Bringing your pet (unless it’s a trained support dog)
- Bringing a bike
- An unaccompanied minor
